The State of New York should immediately suspend the sales tax due, March 20, 2020, in order to give business owners, particularly restaurants, bars and those businesses forced to close, via state mandate, immediate relief. All of us feel terrible for those establishments we’ve done business with for so many years. They need this relief, otherwise the long term prospects are dim. The food service workers will not be helped by a payroll tax cut. After all they are not working. Sales tax is due in 3 days. Come on Andrew Como, do something to help these businesses across the state.
